Sometimes we all need a new focus.  We go along in life and things become stagnant, stale, the same old same old. We get too comfortable doing things the way we’ve always done them. We settle down and refuse to change or try anything new. We all do it. That’s just how it works.

God understands this, He created us. So with God we get a fresh start everyday. But much of the time we don’t take that new start or understand that we can start new. Sometimes we need to be redirected. I saw this article in the Tennessean and thought it made some marvelous points.

Particularly, I like the line, “The goal is to help church members develop from being people who believe in Jesus to people who act like Christians.” Wow, what a thought!

Take a look and see what you think: Bellevue church finds new purpose.

Beautiful Love Story! October 13, 2008

Check out the following article: Holocaust Love Story

It is one of the most beautiful love stories I have ever heard. He is so right that love can overcome hatred and make for a beautiful life. The thread I picked up on is that the man loves the woman because she brought a spark of hope to him during the bleakest landscape of his life in the concentration camp, and after at the work camp. How could he not love her when she brought him so much that he didn’t even deserve. So, when he is brought together with her again years later he immediately proposes! She is amazed, but I just feel that in his mind he could do nothing else–she was his angel.

This is how it is with God. He loved us and sent his only son (the apples) to die for us while we were yet sinners. When we fully grasp our situation in this world, we can do nothing else but leap in joy and accept God’s grace with a heart full of love!
